Glass and Ceramic

Museo Civico of Palazzo Farnese owns a valuable ceramic and stone collection, gathered thanks to the donations of private collectors.

The decorations connect these objects to handicrafts from Lombardy, Veneto and Emilia made between the 15th and 18th century. There are even some of the first specimens of Ginori pottery from Florence.
The collection of glasses, donated by Pietro Agnelli from Piacenza, contains some pieces that illustrate  Murano’s story and glass processing techniques from the 16th to the 18th century, the most intense glass production period in Murano.
